We began by diving deep into the brand, its essence, purpose, and what makes it unmistakably it. This immersion helps us craft motion that doesn’t just look good but feels right for the brand. The keywords we define at this stage become our North Star, guiding every creative decision that follows.

Pollinate is built around the cross-pollination of ideas between different people, an interdisciplinary approach to design. We created multiple directions to bring this idea & the logo’s form to life, experimenting with motion that felt organic, purposeful, and in sync with the brand’s spirit. By animating rough sequences, we quickly understood what worked and what didn’t. These motion tests became our compass, helping us refine the animation and shape its personality.

We also spent time thinking about materiality, imagining what the “olli” form might be made of. Is it stretchy like a rubber band, or tense like a metal wire? Each material suggests a different range of movement, and each range carries a distinct personality. Our role was to explore these movements and find the one that felt right.

Because motion isn’t always logical. It’s also about feeling. Some qualities only reveal themselves when something moves, things that simply can’t be explained through static visuals.

Once we nailed the personality, we translated it into the final motion. A logo that moves like a bee, pollinating as it flows, embodying fluidity, collaboration, and the brand’s core values.

To keep things dynamic and evolving, we designed multiple motion states, ensuring adaptability while resolving into the final logo - alive, expressive, and unmistakably Pollinate.
